Upcoming Events:

  • Friday, November 11 @ 11 am: Join us for the Veterans Day Ceremony hosted at Veterans Park (3900 Main St) If you can’t make it in person, you can watch the video on our Facebook or YouTube page.
  • Saturday, November 12 from 8 am-12 pm: Neighborhood Summit hosted at the Sam Johnson Recreation Center 401 W 16th St. Plano. More info here: https://bit.ly/3A5xogN
  • Saturday, November 12 @ 11 am: The Rowlett Public Library is hosting Library Feud You can play with family, friends, neighbors, or others as a team. Make sure you bring at least one adult with you for your team.
  • Saturday, November 12 @ 7 pm: Night Hike at Pecan Grove Park hosted by the Rowlett Parks & Recreation Advisory Board.
  • Tuesday, November 15 from 7-7:30 pm @ City Hall: Rowlett Police Chief Michael Denning will be officially sworn in at the City Council Meeting - come say hi and welcome him to Rowlett at a reception held in his honor before the meeting.

During the month of November, patrons may donate non-perishable food items to waive fines off their accounts. For each package of food donated, the Library will take $1 off patron fines. This only applies to fines for late materials; it does not apply to fees from lost or damaged materials. Collected items will be donated to local food pantries.  More info here: https://bit.ly/3hqf0sl

Happy Friday Routlet. Here's your top news and highlight for the week of November eleven. Today is Veterans Day, and this morning we will gather at Veterans Park at eleven am to honor all the brave women and men who have served in the United States Armed Forces. If you miss the ceremony, you can view the video on our Facebook and YouTube pages later this afternoon. Here are some of the upcoming events for the weekend and early next week. Tomorrow at the Sam Johnson Recreation Center, meet and interact with neighbors from Plain oh, Garland, Rowlett and across the DFW Metroplex at the annual Neighborhood Summit. Learn about neighborhood challenges and how they are solved. This event is free and breakfast is provided. I mean, who doesn't love free food. Learn more on Rolet dot com and survey Says. Saturday, November twelve at eleven am, come out for a friendly, fun competition where fast thinking is a must. The Rally Public Librar Areas hosting Library Feud and you can play with family,...

And last, but not least, you're invited to the Meet the Chief reception on Tuesday, November fifte at City Hall, Ralet Police Chief Michael Denning will be officially sworn in at the City Council meeting.
